Support for Children with Special Needs

The core mission of the Support Services Department is to help parents and guardians find quality childcare for children with disabilities and special needs.

Our staff are experienced and committed to ensuring that children with disabilities have opportunities for caring learning experiences that are safe, engaging, developmentally appropriate, and offered in inclusive settings.

We offer parents a wide range of services to assist them in meeting the unique childcare and parenting needs of their family. Please call 617-542-KIDS to request any of the following services:

• Help in finding Inclusive Childcare
• On-Site Child Observations and Assessments
• Parent Support/Training Sessions and Workshops
• Referrals to Community/Education and Service Agencies
• Consultation and Support on issues of Child Development, Disability, and Special Education
• Disability Flex Pool Funding for Families
• Assistance in negotiating entry into BPS Special Education system.
